Walking, bicycling are great ways of endurance training, just remember to keep a moderate to hi pace to elevate your heart rate. Swimming or other forms of water aerobics are particular useful for those whose joint and tendon health won't allow them for more strenuous land based exercises.
MUSCLE BUILDING exercises, contrary to what you may think, joints and tendons need exercises, they generally requires muscles for support, so strengthening muscles is excellent for their health, and don't worry i am not talking about using heavy weights or machines, although weight training is very important but needs to be supervise, you can work out with your own body weight for resistance.

Your Personal Boot Camp Trainer
Pascal

http://www.solutionhybrid.com/personal-trainer

5 Mind-Blowing Benefits of Exercise

5 Mind-Blowing Benefits of Exercise

Maybe you exercise to tone your thighs, build your biceps, or flatten your belly. Or maybe you work out to ward off the big killers like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. But how about sweating to improve your mind? "Exercise is the single best thing you can do for your brain in terms of mood, memory, and learning," says Harvard Medical School psychiatrist John Ratey, author of the book, Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain. "Even 10 minutes of activity changes your brain."

1. It reverses the detrimental effects of stress. Jumping on the treadmill or cross trainer for 30 minutes can be an instant way to blow off tension by boosting levels of "soothing" brain chemicals like serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. What's fascinating, though, is that exercise may actually work on a cellular level to reverse stress's toll on our aging process, according to a June study from the University of California at San Francisco. The researchers found that stressed-out women who exercised vigorously for an average of 45 minutes over a three-day period had cells that showed fewer signs of aging compared to women who were stressed and not active. Working out also helps keep us from ruminating "by altering blood flow to those areas in the brain involved in triggering us to relive these stressful thoughts again and again," says study coauthor Elissa Epel, an associate professor of psychiatry at UCSF.

2. It lifts depression. Research suggests that burning off 350 calories three times a week through sustained, sweat-inducing activity can reduce symptoms of depression about as effectively as antidepressants. That may be because exercise has been found to stimulate the growth of neurons in certain brain regions damaged during depression. What's more, animal studies have found that getting active boosts the production of brain molecules that improve connections between nerve cells, thereby acting as a natural antidepressant.

3. It improves learning. Exercise increases the level of brain chemicals called growth factors that help make new brain cells and establish new connections between brain cells to help us learn. Interestingly, complicated activities, like playing tennis or taking a dance class, provide the biggest brain boost. "You're challenging your brain even more when you have to think about coordination," explains Ratey. "Like muscles, you have to stress your brain cells to get them to grow." Complicated activities also improve our capacity to learn by enhancing our attention and concentration skills, according to German researchers who found that high school students scored better on high-attention tasks after doing 10 minutes of a complicated fitness routine compared to 10 minutes of regular activity. (Those who hadn't exercised at all scored the worst.)

4. It builds self-esteem and improves body image. You don't need to radically change your body shape to get a confidence surge from exercise. Studies suggest that simply seeing fitness improvements, like running a faster mile or lifting more weight than before, can improve your self-esteem and body image.

5. It leaves you feeling euphoric. Yes, that "runner's high" really does exist if you're willing to shift into high-intensity mode. Ratey recommends sprint bursts through interval training. Run, bike, or swim as fast as you can for 30 to 40 seconds and then reduce your speed to a gentle pace for five minutes before sprinting again. Repeat four times for a total of five sprints. Whenever i get that guilt induced call from a client who had two giant slices of pizza or cake or a couple of extra glasses of wine at a friend's b-day party, i share this five steps fix:

1.- DO A HEALTHY CHECK.-as full andheavy as you may feel , the numbers don't lie, it takes 3500 calories extra to gain one pound of body fat, so unless you ate the whole pizza or cake or drank eight glasses of wine you are in the clear.

2.- GET ENOUGH WATER.- drink 8 to 10 glasses of water throughout the day to flush out any excess sodium that could cause water retention.

3.-EAT BALANCED MEALS.- starving yourself often backfires slowing your metabolism and setting you up fo another binge later on.

4.-FILL UP ON FIBER.-consuming to much of the wrong food can lead to constipation and bloating, keep your digestive track clean with fiber rich foods( black beans, artichokes, asparagus, barley,).

5.-WORK UP A SWEAT.- do at least 15 to 20 extra minutes of cardio to burn up to 115 or 120 additional calories .

Your Personal Boot Camp Trainer
Pascal
http://www.solutionhybrid.com/personal-trainer

MY 4 EXERCISES FOR SUSTAINABLE HAPPINESS

I am always reading about how to achieve happiness, the truth is that happiness is built by little things and moments all together, and it is your own responsibility to do so.

“I THINK SUSTAINABLE HAPPINESS COMES FROM HAVING PURPOSE AND MEANING IN LIFE”

EXERCISE 1: Take responsibility for your own happiness
No one is going to make you happy. You have to do it yourself. You have to choose to let things go and to choose neutral ground. If you are just sitting there thinking about all your problems, you won’t be happy, they don’t lead you to happiness, believe it or not.

EXERCISE 2: Express gratitude for what you have.
Write five to ten things that you are really grateful to have every day, we always hae things to be grateful for, Our Family, Children, Jobs, Healthiness, Home we live in, even the air we breathe, the list goes on and on so I don’t want to hear any excuses.

EXERCISE 3: Practice random acts of kindness
Try to practice between three to five acts of kindness a day, it can be something as simple as controlling your temper with a slow bank teller and telling her to take her time even though you are in a big hurry, people just want us to be good to them, there is a different kinds of things you can do daily, I’m telling you, your life is going to change…. Mine is in the process and it works.

EXERCISE 4: SMILE
This is one crucial element to happiness, and you can not achieve happiness with this element. Your smile is the best tool we have because it’s a way to make other people happy without saying a word. When in doubt, just smile.

Because I have been through many things in my life, and still learning, I try to explore every day different ways to hold on to happiness and believe me, I now a have a better health, better relationships and more success that I ever had before

Your Personal Boot Camp Trainer
Pascal
http://www.solutionhybrid.com/personal-trainer

PAPAYA POWER.-

PAPAYA POWER.-
Pick up this tropical fruit to smooth your skin, get rid of bloating and help with constipation and sinus problems. it is sweet and low: one cup of papaya has just 55 calories.
Try to eat it first thing in the morning if you have sinus(allergies) or constipation problems.
Make yourself a nice smoothie with some carrot and orange juice if your are heading to the beach, you will see that tan!!!
I always make papaya, banana and pineapple smoothie, mix with plain yogurt and some flaxseed,,humm yummy! sometimes i through strawberries or some kind of berries, but the most important ingredient here: Papaya,,so for Flat belly, sinus and allergy saver, skin brightener and bone strengthener, include this awesome fruit in your daily diet.

Your Personal Boot Camp Trainer
Pascal
http://www.solutionhybrid.com/personal-trainer

How to eat fruits!

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.
Ω
What is the correct way of eating fruits?
Ω
IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
Ω
If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.
Ω
FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.
Ω
In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....
Ω
So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining — every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc — actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!
Ω
Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.
Ω
There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.
Ω
When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all.. You only get to taste.. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.
Ω
But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!
Ω
KIWI: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.
Ω
APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.
Ω
STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.
Ω
ORANGE : Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.
Ω
WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene — the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.
Ω
GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helpsprevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.
Ω
Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer! Can u believe this?? For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed.. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
Ω
A serious note about heart attacks HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE': (THIS IS NOT A JOKE!) Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware.. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

Your Personal Trainer Pascal
http://www.solutionhybrid.com/personal-trainer

PX90

It's good to take a break sometimes when you have been working out for a long time (more than 90 days). However, when you are first getting in to a fitness program, make sure you stick to that routine for at least 90 days before you take a break so the body has time to respond. Those who are yo-yo exercisers rarely see results that last.
There is no "magic" fitness exercise or nutrition plan so make sure that the changes you make to achieve your goals is something that will stick with you the rest of your life. So go ahead, take out your calendar and write out a new plan for yourself. Every person has cancer cells in the body . These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3 When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies . These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors .

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size.. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply .

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a.. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells.. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet , Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful . A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus . By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains , seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment . About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate , which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water (not the same as filtered) acidic, avoid it .

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes . Undigested meat remaining in the intestines becomes putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup..

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14.. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the bodies own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death , the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15... Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit . A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, un-forgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily , and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

1.. No plastic containers in micro .

2. No water bottles in freezer .

3. No plastic wrap in microwave .

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well. Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer . Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Cast le Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard . He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body.. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners , instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran , is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Your Personal Boot Camp Trainer
Pascal
http://www.solutionhybrid.com/personal-trainer

calcium for strong bones

Subject: TIP OF THE WEEK
Everyone knows that CALCIUM builds strong bones, but many aren't aware that this important nutrient comes from different sources in nature, As we age, the renewal of bone structure slows, causing bones to lose density and become more porous and brittle; this can increase the risk of osteoporosis. If you are 50 or older you could be in greater danger of suffering an unexpected fracture,,,but there are steps you can take to build bone density instead of steadily losing it.
EXERCISE
